G'day! Meet Bazza, our 1-year-old Kelpie who'se waiting to meet his furrever family, could that be you!?
Bazza's a clever, loyal dog who's eager to learn and ready to find a family who can match his enthusiasm for life. He's looking for a home where he can thrive with some structure, play, and plenty of love.
Bazza is a typical Kelpie-intelligent, active, and very eager to work and play. He's got a lot of energy, so he'll need a family who enjoys outdoor activities and can keep up with his active nature. Bazza loves to learn and will respond well to force-free training. He's currently working on getting used to harness handling and is doing well with counter-conditioning, so a patient owner who's willing to continue this positive work will help him become even more confident. Bazza can be a bit cautious when meeting new dogs, so gradual, positive introductions are a must, but he may be fine with another dog in the home given the right introductions.
Bazza would suit a home with secondary school-aged children or older, where he can enjoy regular mental and physical stimulation. He'd be most comfortable in a home with someone who understands his needs as a working dog, providing both physical exercise and mental enrichment. Bazza may get along well with another dog, but he'll need a slow, thoughtful introduction to make sure he's comfortable. Please bring any children 16 and younger in for the meet and greet, as well as any existing doggo pals.
Bazza is ready to find his forever family, where he can settle in and start creating new memories. With patience, positive training, and time, Bazza will grow into an amazing companion.
If you're looking for a clever, active dog with heaps of potential, Bazza could be the one for you. Get in touch with North Melbourne today to arrange a meet-and-greet with this eager-to-please Aussie boy!
