A little bit about Nina

Meet Nina!

Nina came in to the Shelter as a baby stray, and unfortunately her owners never came forward (I know, we can't believe it either!), she is now looking for her fur-ever home.

Although still little, she will grow into quite an energetic lady, so she is looking for hoomans who are as active as she is and will take her along for the ride. Nina is a kelpie so we recommend that you do your research in to working breed dogs before coming down and meeting her - the have so much to give, but are not for the faint-hearted.

Right now, Nina is a high energy breed in a shelter which is never the ideal place. She is showing a lack of confidence with handling so for this reason we recommend Nina's new family consist of adults only and be the only pet. Now this isn't to say that in the future with consistent training and lots of enrichment she couldn't have kiddos and a doggo friend, but that will take some work and patience.

Kelpies love to be active and use their incredible smarts every day - lots of walks (or runs), enrichment such as kongs and puzzle treats, farm work or even agility sports will all help her grow in to the best dog that we know she can be.

Head down to North Melbourne today! Remember you don't need an appointment so head down ASAP so you don't miss out on this little lass!

Weight: 11.5kg (still a puppy, will grow to approx 20kg)
