A little bit about Maximus

MAXIMUS VON GOODBOY - 47kgs of pure stud muffin.

This big man is looking for his next adventure. Due to no fault of his own, Maximus has found himself without a family, and if it's one thing that Rottweilers love, it's their family.

Maximus Von Goodboy gets his name from being the goodest boy in the world. He is happy, friendly and super keen to please! He shows high levels of intelligence and trainability and is such a pleasure to have around. He walks well on lead (although he is strong) and absolutely loves lazing away and leaning his big fat head on your leg.

Now, if you have never owned a Rottweiler, there is a big thing to consider - THE HAIR! Think husky amounts of hair. In your cutlery drawer, in your cup of coffee, on your toothbrush - the hair gets everywhere, but we like to think it's just them leaving little reminders for you of how much they love you.

While Maximus has shown some pro-social behaviour in the Shelter, he is a little concerned with some dogs so for the time being he will require to be the only dog in the home. With ongoing training, nice slow introductions to dogs and lots of positive reward based training (this boy loves his food) then he may like to have a friend in the future - but for now, he wants you all to himself.

Maximums can also be a tad snatchy with treats, he didn't get to his size but not loving food so for this reason (and his size in general) we would recommend people in the home be 16+ years old. Maximus also seems to dislike his paws being touched, so being respectful of his boundaries is a must!
