A little bit about Lamb Chop

Introducing the lovable Lamb Chop!

This gorgeous young man is a favourite here at the shelter and you can tell from his photos it's no secret why!

Lamb Chop is a happy-go-lucky dog who thoroughly enjoys the company of his human friends, especially when they have treats and toys for him. He particularly loves roast chicken and softer treats, so if you have those on hand - you will be besties in no time!

The rope is his FAVOURITE toy in the world, so he would love to play fetch with you to burn some of that young boy energy and bond with you as well! The usual fetch routine involves two ropes - once we've thrown the first rope and Lamb Chop's brought that back, we throw the other one so he's on a rotating fetch cycle. This brings him a lot of joy and we know this will be a useful tool in helping him with his recall skills!

Because Lamb Chop's such a big loveable goofball, his love sometimes makes him forget his size and he can be very aroused at times, so his new family will need to be Adults Only (16+). This is so everyone can contribute to his training and help him learn some impulse control. He's a super smart boy who's already mastered sit (and polishing drop!) so we know it won't take him long to learn!

Lamb Chop will also need to be the only fur baby in his new home, as other dogs make him quite fearful at this stage. This won't be a problem for him though as he looooves being the centre of attention! Our awesome team will be able to give you plenty of tips and tricks on how to make him feel more confident going forward.

Lamb Chop would also love a family with people who don't work full time and are home more often than not, as he's still learning to be comfortable when alone and needs time to bond with his forever family.
