At 13 years old, Mufasa should be sleeping in a sunny window, purring softly beside the people he thought would be with him forever. Instead, he waits - quietly, patiently - for someone who never came back.
Mufasa was left at the pound with the promise that his family would return. But days turned to weeks, and no one ever came. Now, this sweet senior sits in his kennel, confused and heartbroken, wondering what he did wrong.
Despite it all, Mufasa remains gentle and loving. He leans into every kind touch, desperate for the comfort of a hand, the warmth of a lap. He's not just a cat - he's a reminder of how resilient a broken heart can be.
Mufasa is FIV+, which means he'll need to be the only cat or live with others like him - but that doesn't stop him from dreaming of a life filled with love. He also has a few senior health concerns that need care, but nothing that overshadows the love and loyalty he'll give in return.
Mufasa isn't asking for much - just a quiet home, a soft bed, and someone to finally choose him. He's waited so long.
Please don't let Mufasa's story end in a shelter. Help him write a new chapter, one filled with warmth, safety, and the love he's never stopped hoping for.
