A little bit about Gus

Well hi there! My name is Gus and I'm here to be your new best friend!

My friends here at the shelter say I have the energy of a senior gentleman. You can tell I've got a wealth of knowledge by my big soulful eyes and grey hairs just starting to come through on my face. I'm not in a rush to do anything; I just want to be near you, enjoying each other's company. If you're looking for a dog who's content to hang out and relax, I'm your guy! I know how to sit, I walk great on lead, and I'm sure to learn any more tricks you've got in store for me when I feel like it!

You may find I'm a bit shy to begin with. I'm not a massive fan of touching & cuddles until we're best friends and I trust you, but once I'm comfortable I'll melt into you. I've been finding the busy shelter a bit stressful, so I'm seeking a quiet household for my forever home! One with secondary school aged children or older please, as I find young children a bit too much.

I get along with my fellow dogs wonderfully, and would be more than happy to go home with another furry friend! Please bring in any other dogs along to the meet and greet.

My kind of people enjoy the simpler things in life- a tasty treat, relaxing ambling walks and a quiet cosy spot to nap in! My very favourite activity is a sniffari- where I can use my excellent nose and put my love of investigating to good use! My old home was a large property that I could get lost for hours wandering around, then could come back home for a great snooze after a hard day of exploring.
