Are you looking for a tornado of fur, slobber and energy to zoom into your life?! Then you should meet our sweet girl, Calais!
Calais was surrendered to the shelter by her previous owners as they, unfortunately, could no longer look after her. Calais is so desperate to get back out into the big wide world and experience everything it has to offer!
Calais is a super energetic and boisterous young girl who needs adopters who can keep up with her fast-paced lifestyle. She needs plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation to stay entertained. This means providing her with treat puzzles, Kongs, lick mats, and more to keep her engaged.
Calais is somewhat hesitant about being handled and can be a liiiittle tricky to harness for her walks so her parents will need to be patient and help her gain confidence when getting ready to go outside for her walks.
For these reasons, Calais would be best suited to a new home that has secondary school-aged children and older (12+) who can handle her energy. Calais may be suitable to live with another doggy sibling, so long as they have a successful meet and greet here in the shelter. Your resident dog would need to be able to tolerate Calais' high-energy and spirited nature.
Calais also needs her new family to help continue her weight management plan (as she is a bit overweight at the moment) so she can be as healthy as possible and have a long life barking at birds and snoozin' in the sun.
If you have a goofy lab-sized hole in your heart Calais might be the girl for you! Please come down to the shelter to meet her today!
Calais <3
*Please ensure all resident dogs and household members are present for the meet & greet.*
Weight: 33.7kg (ideal weight would be around 25kg)
This website is updated in real time at the conclusion of an adoption. There is a chance that while you are enquiring to meet your potential new pet, he or she may already be involved in an adoption process. If this happens, please consider another animals. Thanks for your patience.
