A little bit about Pongo

So what's there to know about me?

Firstly, the specifics, my name is Pongo and I'm a 1-year-old Bull Arab X.

Unfortunately, this is not my first time here with my lovely friends in the home, but, I reeeeeally hope it will be my last.

I do consider myself quite a special man. Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder and with the help of the vets here, they have put me on medication to help me feel better. This medication really helps me with my behaviour so it's important that I continue to stay on it (the hoomans here can talk specifics with you about that).

One of my favourite things is to learn new tricks, I am learning 'bow' at the moment with my trainer. I consider myself a very energetic being, so I need lots of things to keep my mind and body moving! Agility, like A-frames and weave poles definitely tickle my fancy, alongside with puzzle games, search and finding and playing tug of war! An active lifestyle is a must for me!

My training here in the shelter has only just begun, I have already made lots of improvement that the hoomans are very proud of, but I still have a ways to go with my new family.
I struggle to settle with new people and can get frustrated pretty quickly, along with handling I can become highly aroused if people don't understand my boundaries, so kids under 12 years old are not the match for me. I love food and treats, so they will be an important part of my training and will help me get comfortable with you.

I really love other dogs, so much so that I must go home to live with another canine friend. Please bring them with you so I can meet you both first!!
