A little bit about Saturn

Introducing Saturn!

This lovely lady came into the shelter very thin and scared and took time to build confidence and trust. Saturn worked with one of our trainers to develop a bond and help guide her through the difficult times faced in the shelter environment. Whilst working with Saturn, we began to notice a very sweet and soft side of her, and this is what we are seeing today. Her new home will need to take new introductions slow, to make sure that Saturn doesn't get overwhelmed.

Saturn loves to interact with her favourite humans, whether it is going for a walk, sitting on the couch having a cuddle or playing with toys in the yard. She is particularly keen on puzzle feeders and foraging for treats, this is something that provides great enrichment for her and will keep her busy at times when you can't!

While in care with us, we noticed that, Saturn, would struggle to regulate her stress when seeing dogs out on lead. Saturn became a little frustrated and would whine and sometimes bark. Whilst in our care, Saturn has been able to develop the skill of ignoring dogs when out on walks. She would benefit from slow, gradual, positive introductions with dogs in the future.
