A little bit about Sasha

**Meet Sasha (aka Sashy Pants) Monday-Friday**
This beautiful lanky girl is on the lookout for a place to call her own!

When Sasha first arrived at our shelter, she was a scared and shut-down pup - so much so that she lost almost 8kg over three months while waiting for her chance to find a new home

After seeing that she needed a little extra help, Sasha was brought into our behaviour department, where she began her journey of discovering that the world isn't such a scary place after all. This once-terrified ball of fluff, too frightened to enter a room and would flinch when touched, has blossomed into a vibrant, energetic, albeit lanky and awkward, dog who proudly enforces the "Pats For Sasha" tax on those she loves!

True to her likely Maremma heritage, Sasha does struggle with barrier reactivity, but she has been working diligently with her trainers to manage her emotional responses. She has also worked with our trainers as she can show fearful responses towards new dogs, her progress has been remarkable, and she continues to improve every day.

Sasha thrives best in a calm, quieter environment. Loud or busy places can be overwhelming for her, so she would be happiest in a home with a yard in a serene neighbourhood. We're on the lookout for a patient and loving family who can continue to hold our sweet, (not so) little girl's paw and help her feel safe and secure in whatever her new life has to offer her
