A little bit about Maverick

Hello there! My name is Maverick, and I'm a 2-year old Bull Arab/Beagle mix with a heart full of love and a ton of energy.

I'm the kind of dog who's always excited to go on adventures, whether that's taking long walks, sniffing around, or exploring new places. There's just so much to discover, and I can't wait to share that with you!

I'm a big fan of treats-who isn't, right? They make my tail wag like crazy! I'm also a smart cookie, and I know a few tricks like sitting, dropping, and shaking paws. I love showing off my skills, and I'll be more than happy to show you what I can do!

I really enjoy playing with toys, and I'll happily entertain myself with them. But what I really love most is spending quality time with the people I bond with. When I get to know someone, I get super excited to be around them! In my previous home, I lived with kids, other dogs, and even cats, so I'm pretty used to being around other animals and humans. However, I can sometimes be a bit jumpy-especially when I'm excited or meeting someone new.

One of my favourite things is spending time in the backyard. Whether it's soaking up the sun, running around, or just relaxing, the backyard is my happy place. I love being outside and enjoying the fresh air.

I'm looking for some dog-savvy pawrents that will help continue my training and rescue me from the shelter, although I'm thankful for the LDH staff, I am counting down the days until I can rest my cute snout on a proper bed or a sofa again.
