A little bit about Lumi

My name is Lumi. It means "snow" in Finnish-quiet, soft, and gentle. I think that fits me well.

I'm not the kind of cat who will run to greet you or purr at your feet the moment we meet. Right now, the world feels big and loud, and I'm still learning how to feel safe in it. I spend most of my time tucked away, hidden where it's quiet, where nothing can startle me.

I won't come looking for affection, and I don't have anything to give just yet-no cuddles, no purrs, not even a glance, really. I know that's hard to hear, but I believe there's someone out there who will understand that trust can't be rushed.

What I need is a home that's calm and steady. One without children, or perhaps with quiet adults who move gently, speak softly, and don't expect too much too soon. I need someone special-someone who sees me, even when I'm hiding. Someone patient enough to wait, kind enough to stay, and gentle enough to show me that people can be safe.

Right now, I'm afraid. But I want to believe that not all hands are scary, that not all sounds mean danger, and that someday, I won't feel the need to hide.

If you're the kind of person who finds beauty in the quietest moments, who can love without needing anything in return, and who's willing to wait as long as it takes-I'm here.
