To help Wellington feel safe and secure, we recommend starting him off in a designated safe room. This gives him a chance to find his bearings, learn where the litter trays are, and get comfortable enough to explore. Once he's toileting reliably, exploring confidently, and approaching for food, play, or affection, you can start to slowly introduce him to the rest of your home.

What Wellington Needs:

Choice and consent: Wellington thrives when interactions are on his terms. He's not a fan of being picked up or held, but once he trusts you, he does enjoy some gentle pats and quiet companionship.

High-value treats: Offering him tasty treats when you enter his room or when he comes to you can go a long way in building positive associations and trust.

Structured daily play: Wellington enjoys playtime with wand toys - it's not just fun, it helps him feel more confident and connected. End play sessions with a food reward in an enrichment feeder to complete the natural hunting sequence.
