This petite fluffball is named Tara! For starters, Tara is adorable. She has shown so much growth and change in her confidence from when she first arrived here which is such a beautiful thing to witness. She was first described as very shy and you would have to approach her nice and slow, so she wasn't frightened. Now, however, when you go and visit her, she goes out of her way to approach you and immediately starts rubbing on your legs. One way to make her feel really comfortable is to continually talk to her whilst you pat her, and this allows her to feel more at ease. She adores pats and scratches around her neck and ears and is super gentle and friendly. Although she is more confident now, Tara still prefers a calmer environment because quick changes and movements can still make her nervous. More than exploring, Tara truly values your company and always wants to be near you (or on you). If you think Tara might be the perfect new addition in your life, you're most welcome to come into our North Melbourne shelter and meet her!
