Meet Acorn, your new adventure buddy!

If you are looking for a high energy dog to keep you accountable with your fitness goals, then look no further than Acorn.

Acorn is no different than most kelpies. He has boundless energy, intelligence and loves having a job to do. He will require lots of physical and mental stimulation to thrive in his new home. Without this, he can get bored having all of that energy with no outlet.

Acorn would really flourish in a home with experienced dog owners who understand the needs of high energy, intelligent breeds. He would love a big yard and access to walks and outdoor activities.

Acorn's favourite thing to do in the shelter is play fetch, specifically with a big basketball or something similar. He is true to his breed in that he sometimes feels like he needs to herd the ball! He has so much fun doing this and will play for as long as you're willing.

Acorn wouldn't mind sharing his new space with another dog. It would be better if any children in the home are secondary aged or above. This is due to Acorn's boisterous and active nature, it may be a little too much for small kiddos.

If you're up for an active and fulfilling lifestyle with a loyal companion by your side, Acorn could be the perfect match.
