Let us introduce you to Silo, our golden oldie.
Silo might have a few grey whiskers, but don't let that fool you he still has his playful moments and loves a good trot around the yard when the mood strikes! At 9 years old, Silo is ready to enjoy his golden years with a special family.
This gentleman has a few wishes. The first wish is to be in a cozy home where he can lie on the couch till dinner time and have some playtime in the yard on sunny days. He wouldn't mind living with some kids as long as they respect his space and are dog savvy.
Unfortunately, the gorgeous Silo has had some difficult medical news. Like many other senior dogs Silo had developed a cancerous tumour and a few other benign lumps and bumps. Since his diagnosis, Silo has received some extensive love and care from our staff across the shelter, and our amazing vet team were able to remove the malignant tumour. Silo is currently a healthy boy, excited to live out the rest of his days in comfort, but these things can always come back so it's important that his new family is committed to his health.
Silo may also enjoy the company of another relaxed dog companion after ameet and greet. He wouldn't mind sharing his new home with a furry friend.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who's past the puppy chaos but still has love and life to give, Silo could just be your guy. He's ready to trade kennel life for couch cuddles and calm days with you.
If you think Silo is the perfect match come meet him today at our North Melbourne shelter.
