Meet Rokit!
Rokit is a sweet, wriggly, bubbly young man. He is definitely true to his breed, in that he loves having a job to do, so you can imagine being in the shelter has been a little stressful for him.
Rokit found himself at the shelter when his owner's were no longer able to continue caring for him. He has found it pretty stressful here with all the loud noises and activity going on around him, so we have made him nice and comfortable with some stress medication, to make his stay a little easier. He will need to be sent home with this medication but can be slowly transitioned off it in his new home!
Rokit is exactly what his breed says; super intelligent, easily trainable, bursting with energy, loyal to the people he loves and super quick/ fast! His ideal home would be one with lots of space for him to run around and burn off his energy. He loves having a good sniff in the yards here and is a curious boy. He has shown he loves attention from the staff here, so a home that can include him with daily activites would make this guy so happy. Rokit would be a great pal to tag along on camping trips, walks, hikes, swims- the more adventurous the better.
Rokit has shown us he does like the company of other dogs, so if there are any dogs in the home, please bring them to the shelter for a play date if you are planning on adopting. Because he is still quite young, bouncy and wriggly, he would be best suited to a home where any kids are secondary aged and above.
If you want to see Rokit in action, come and meet him today!
