A little bit about Meeko

MEET MEEKO!

Meeko has come into the care through our wonderful partnership with GAP, and has spent some time in foster care before making his way up for adoption.

Meeko is a big boy who lovs his human friends, but may in fact loe his canine companions a little more! As such, Meeko has made it clear that his future home MUST have a dog friend, though not a greyhound as he knows he's the very best greyhound there is. Meeko's wonderful foster carer had the following to say about him:
"Meeko is a gentle, and loving boy who can get anxious when left alone. He loves humans of all types and is the typical social butterfly in environments that he knows. It is difficult not to fall in love with Meeko when you get to know him as he is very loving to all humans and canines alike.
He is still a relatively young dog and can temporarily forget his manners but quickly gets back on track in terms of manners. He is a quick learner and responds well to no and the household rules." Of course, Meeko has had a fractured right hock, but this has alll been mended through patience and care- though with his bounds of energy and puppy playfulness, you can't tell!

As Meeko is such a big boy, he will need to find his forever hoe with secondary school-aged children and older, and due to his history as a racing boy, he will be unsuitable in a household with cats or other small pocket pets and smaller dogs.
