A little bit about Groot

Hi, I'm Groot - a sweet pup with lots of love to give and plenty still to learn!

My foster carer says I'm such a good boy, but I'm still just a puppy, so I'll need a family who can help guide me as I grow. I'm learning more every day, and with the right people by my side, I know I'll make an amazing companion.

I'm happiest when I'm close to the people I love. I can get a bit worried when I'm left alone, and sometimes I howl or chew things to help me cope. Crate training might help me feel more secure, and I'd really like to give it a try.

I'm still figuring out how to "be a dog"-playing is kind of new to me. I didn't really know what to do at first, but when I saw the other dog chasing a ball, I gave it a go too! I'm also learning that pats and cuddles are really nice, even though I wasn't so sure about them at first.

I'd prefer to live in a home with secondary school-aged children or older, as I'm still learning my manners and might be a bit too much for little ones right now. Any children will need to meet me at the shelter before I go home. I also wouldn't mind sharing my home with another dog who can show me the ropes, they'd have to come and meet me at the shelter before I go home first!
