Meet your future partner in crime, your best friend forever, your loyal shadow with a wagging tail and a heart full of love- Neptune.
Neptune was found in a field with no collar, no microchip, and no one coming to claim him. Scared and nervous, it was clear that under that fear was a dog brimming with potential and wanting to trust. With patience (and lots of treats), Neptune has transformed from fearful to fantastic, and his true personality begun to show itself.
And the personality we found was THE most loyal dog who acts like he's powered on cuddles. Tennis balls? No thank you. Going for a walk? Maybe. Snuggling on the couch? ABSOLUTELY. His favourite spot is sitting on your foot, and he's an expert as giving you the puppy eyes for just ONE more treat.
Neptune lives with anxiety, but thanks to his lifelong medication he's come a long way. From scared and uncertain to smoochy, sweet, and much more comfortable meeting new people, the team at The Lost Dogs Home are more than happy to explain everything to you.
As lovely as Neptune is, he's still a shy boy at heart and sometimes gets overwhelmed easily- especially with other dogs. He'll need to be the only dog in the home for now, and avoid places like the dog park or busy dog areas. But Neptune doesn't mind, more attention for him! He'll also need to be in a home with secondary school aged children or older, who can read his body language and understand when he wants to be a furry blanket and when he needs some alone time.
Neptune may get a little unsure in certain situations, but at his core, he's just a gentle cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to be by your side. If you're looking for a loyal dog who finds comfort in your presence, Neptune is ready to fill that space with love. Adopt him today!
