At 6 years old Akiba is well past his crazy puppy stage. While he still enjoys long walks and a game of fetch, he's sure to tire out quickly and come to for FULL body leans. While a bit independent at times, when he's in the cuddle mood you'll be rewarded with a heated blanket the shape of a dog.

While he doesn't mind a game of fetch, Akiba's passion is squeaky toys! Whether it's chasing them, squeaking them or just parading it proudly in his mouth, Akiba's future will be full of squeaks galore. His eyes light up at the mere sound of one, and you'll quickly realize that they're his absolute joy in life.

He's a social boy who gets along well with other dogs, regardless of their size or personality. Whether it's a playful romp in the yard or just relaxing near a furry friend, Akiba is adaptable and easygoing in the company of other pups. His doggy friendships have shown us that he's polite, friendly, and happy to share his space. He's also great with kids of any age, and would be happy to go home with a family of any shape and size. If he's feeling a little left out or not getting what he wants (like that squeaky toy on the top shelf or the snuggle you clearly owe him), he may let out a few barks to let you know. But don't worry - it's all part of his big personality, and it usually just means he's trying to communicate in his own silly, vocal way.
