A little bit about Darla

They say a dog is man's best friend, and Darla is very impatiently waiting for that special someone to show her a life of love and companionship.

This georgeous girl is your classic staffy. She's loving, she's cheeky, she's loyal, and she wants nothing more than to be by your side. Darla has not had the eaisiest start to life, she came into our care as a surrender as her elderly owners felt they weren't able to give her the active life she deserved, but she has not let this get her down one bit.

Darla would love a new best friend that is home most of the time. Somewhere with a big backyard and room to run around would be a real treat for her, but any warm and loving home is all a girl can ask for.

This cheeky girl certainly has her quirks, she needs some work on her basic skills and can be a little bit implusive -- think of it as her extended teenage years! Our lovely behaviour behaviour team will be reaching out to you post adoption to make sure you two are all on track for the rest of your lives together.

If you have a paw shaped hole in your heart, and are ready to open your home to a dog that needs some patience, work, and love please consider Darla.

Head into our North Melbourne shelter, no appointment required.
