A little bit about Daffy

Meet our Delightful Daffy,

Daffy is a very soft, sweet-natured girl, she is still learning that not everyone in the world is as scary as what she thinks. Once she starts to warm up to you, she has a fun upbeat personality, loving to use you as an armrest and demand cuddles!

Daffy was brought into the behaviour program to help with her overall self confidence in life. She gets a little unsure when meeting unfamiliar people but warms up and loves her humans once she knows you; she has shown signs of fear towards men, meeting other dogs and adjusting to new environments. She has also been a part of our foster care to spend time away from the shelter and received some fabulous feedback, although she can be shy with new people, after a few days she fell in love with her foster carer and wanted to be with her all the time!
She is still young and playful, Daffy looves toys and would love to find her own bestie that will play with her all the time!

She has been assigned to a trainer in our program and everyday she's improving! We make training sessions fun which makes her excited to try new things. We can now slowly approach people and feel more comfortable being in the presence of other people. She enjoys seeking interaction with toys and enjoys receiving special treats from everyone.

Her ideal home would preferably be a female household so she can continue to build confidence, then with the guidance of the behaviour team, slowly introduce her to new things. Daffy's household members will need to be patient and take things slow; we promise she is worth it!

Daffy can go home with a suitable doggo companion as she entered the shelter with her sister, so if you have a fur baby at home, make sure to brign them!

When she does show her personality, she is playful, upbeat, likes to give lots of cuddles and smooches. She would love to sit on the couch with you and snuggle, play with you in the yard, go for walkies and just be your very own little shadow!
