Don't know why
There's no sun up in the sky
Stormy weather
Since my forever family and I ain't together
Keeps raining all of the time
Can you bring some sunshine into our sweet boy Stormy's life?
Stormy came into the shelter as a stray and unfortunately, no one came forward to claim him. This means Stormy is searching for a new forever home, one that will never abandon him and will give him endless cuddles and affection.
At one and a half years old, Stormy is still a relatively young pup with LOTS of energy to burn. He would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of exercise and mental enrichment (because he is also a super smart boy!). We're talking puzzle toys, kongs, lick mats...and MORE. Stormy is so playful and silly and is just such a delight to have out in our recreation yards.
Stormy would love adopters who can help increase his confidence with handling, especially putting his harness on for walks. You can make this a positive experience for him by using lots of treats and praise. Stormy also needs some help with impulse control, as he doesn't have much basic training and can jump and get overexcited and boisterous easily.
Stormy would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children and above who can handle his energy levels. Stormy may also be okay living with another doggy sibling pending a successful meet and greet here in the shelter. He can find meeting unfamiliar dogs a little bit stressful, so it is best for his adopters to gradually introduce him to any new dogs he might meet in the future.
Stormy is feeling under the weather here in the shelter and he just can't wait to find his perfect forever family. If you feel like Stormy is a good match for you, please come down to the shelter to meet him today!
