A little bit about Rufus

Hey there!

I'm Rufus, your soon-to-be best furry friend! I'm 1 year and 4 months old, and thanks to my American Staffy/Hound genes, I'm full of muscle and energy. Despite my tough look, I'm just a big softie who loves sniffing out the best spots in the garden-my nose is like a super-powered detective!

When I'm not sniffing around, I'm showing off my tricks for treats-sit, drop, bed work, and even a ballerina-worthy spin! And my paw-shake? It's basically a high-five that everyone loves.

I've been working on my doggy social skills with my trainer, but I can be a bit shy and unsure of others. I would prefer to be the only dog in the household.

Life's been a bit of a roller coaster for me lately, so I might need a little extra time to settle in. I'm not a fan of being left alone, especially outside-I'd much rather be indoors with my humans around. My ideal home would have someone home with me during the day to keep me company. I'm also cool with kids, as long as they're old enough to appreciate my awesome paw-shake. So, if you have secondary school-aged kids, we'll get along great!

I can't wait to meet you all and show you how fun life with Rufus can be!
