What you need to know
Are my donations tax deductible?
Yes. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible. The Lost Dogs’ Home is a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), so you’ll receive a receipt you can use when lodging your tax return.
Can I make a donation over the phone or via BPAY?
Yes, absolutely. If you’d prefer to make your donation over the phone, please give our friendly Supporter Care team a call on (03) 8379 4453.
To set up a BPAY gift, send an email to supporters@dogshome.com and we’ll provide your unique reference number.
Do you receive government support?
The Lost Dogs’ Home doesn’t receive any ongoing government funding. We rely on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers like you to help care for thousands of lost and abandoned cats and dogs every year.

How do I cancel, change or update my monthly donation?
We’re so grateful for your ongoing support. If you need to make any changes to your monthly donation — whether it’s updating your details, adjusting the amount, or cancelling — please get in touch with our Supporter Care team. We're here to help and will make the process as easy as possible.

Will I receive a donation receipt?
Yes — you’ll receive an email receipt right after making your donation. If you’re a monthly donor, we’ll also send you a summary at the end of the financial year.
