A little bit about Bruno

Introducing our beautiful Bruno!

A jumpy and playful Kelpie, Bruno is a bundle of energy just waiting to bounce into your home and heart! As affectionate as he is energetic, Bruno loves to be the STAR of the show and demands to be cuddled by each person he meets.

He's a bit stressed here at the shelter, so he may not be his 'best self' right now, but rest assured after a bit of time to warm up to you (and a moment to burn some energy) he's the best cuddlebug!

Bruno is not just good looks, he's also very intelligent. Being a working breed, Bruno owners need to understand his breed's needs, and how you can keep his mind busy and occupied. But don't fret, our adoptions team here at the shelter can give you lots of tips and tricks! If you've got a big backyard and time for Bruno, he'll reward you with lots of snuggles and laughs.

Bruno would like to go to a home with families of any size or shape! He can get a bit nervous with overhandling, but once he's confident and feels secure Bruno has been known to love dog savvy kids of all ages, being a very gentle friend and licking them all over. Please bring all children along to the meet and greet!

As already mentioned, Bruno wants to be the STAR of the show! This also means he will need to be the only fur baby at home. Behaving like a typical Kelpie he sometimes likes other dogs, but at other times his herding instinct kicks in and wants to herd them instead! Proper training will help him curb these behaviours, or you can encourage them and get him to work on a farm! Bruno has previously lived on a farm, therefore he needs a spacious & active new home!
