Hi there, I'm Poppy!!
I'm a young, boisterous girl full of love to give to my new forever family - could it be you?
During my time in the shelter, my trainer has helped me work through my reactivity to unfamiliar people and unfamiliar dogs as I find them really scary.
I have started to learn that new people aren't so bad and I have slowly been able to build my confidence and make new friends in the shelter. To help me adjust to my new home, I hope that everyone in my new home are older teenagers or adults to help provide me with a stable routine.
I'm still worried about other dogs so I want to be the only dog in my next home to allow me the chance to thrive and settle in. I won't enjoy going to dog parks or dog beaches, but this means I can have you all to myself and enjoy all of the pats and games of tug.
I will need a special someone who can help me continue my journey that I have begun in this big wide world. I'm a quick learner and will need my forever person to continue my force-free training that I have begun while at the shelter. I hope that my new home will be patient, kind and dedicated to helping me adjust to life in a new home and continuing to help me learn and succeed.
Please fill out an application below if you are interested in meeting me!
Love, Poppy xxx
