Each year pounds and shelters around the country, including The Lost Dogs’ Home, receive thousands of lost dogs and cats whose chances of being reunited with their families are decreased due to missing identification or out of date contact information.
To reduce the number of lost and stray dogs and cats coming into shelters and pounds without identification, The Lost Dogs’ Home established National Pet Register.
Owned and operated by the Home, National Pet Register is Australia’s largest not-for-profit pet identification service.
A free recovery service, National Pet Register aims to reduce the number of lost and stray dogs and cats, by raising awareness amongst pet owners of the importance of pet identification.
National Pet Register is an accredited pet register holding an Australian Veterinary Accreditation.
