Pound the pavement for animals in need

June 24, 2015

If you are passionate about animals and also enjoy walking or running, we have got just the thing for you! On Sunday 26 July, the city will be abuzz with walkers, joggers and runners taking part in The Age Run Melbourne. In addition to the fun and excitement, participants will also have the opportunity to raise vital funds for charities such as The Lost Dogs’ Home.

Each year, thousands of lost and abandoned animals come through our doors. By fundraising for The Lost Dogs’ Home, you will be helping us provide shelter and care to these vulnerable animals. Through veterinary care, behaviour rehabilitation, foster care, enrichment and adoption services, these animals can receive the second chance they deserve.

With the option of a family-friendly 3km Kids Run (to take place on Saturday 25 July), a 5km or 10km course, and a half-marathon, there is something to suit all fitness levels.

Register now and start fundraising!

1. Register now to participate in The Age Run Melbourne.

2. Make your participation count by fundraising for The Lost Dogs’ Home. You will be able to set up your very own fundraising page via everydayhero. Why not encourage your family, friends and colleagues to sponsor your efforts by making a donation? All donations – big or small – will support the care and rehabilitation of animals in need.

Can’t compete?

If you can’t compete on the day but would still like to show your support for animals in need, you can make a donation via The Lost Dogs’ Home everydayhero page.
