Banks across Australia are already starting to phase out cheques as a payment method. Please don’t let your support for us stray.
The Australian Government Treasury has announced that as of 30 June 2028, cheques will no longer be issued. As of 30 September 2029, no cheques will be accepted and processed.
Some banks have already started phasing cheques out and have stopped providing replacement cheque books to customers, while other banks will stop providing cheque books over a longer period of time.
For any details on how this might impact you personally we suggest that you please contact your bank.
