We’ll accept cheques for as long as possible, and we’re here to help you find the best way to continue giving — safely, securely, and with love.

At The Lost Dogs’ Home, every donation helps care for cats and dogs in need. For many years, supporters like you have kindly sent cheques to help look after lost, abandoned, and injured pets. We are truly grateful for every gift — your generosity has touched the lives of so many animals, and we can’t thank you enough.
As you may know, cheques are gradually being phased out by banks. If you have questions about what this means for you, your bank can provide guidance.
We will continue to accept cheques for as long as possible, ahead of the 2028 government deadline.
At the same time, we would like to help you explore other ways to give — methods that are safe, secure, and easy to use, while making sure your support continues to reach the cats and dogs who need it most.
We understand that change can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you have only ever donated by cheque to the charities you care about. Please know that you are not alone, and we are here to guide you gently every step of the way.
Whether this is your first time using one of these methods, or you would simply like to continue giving in a way that feels comfortable, our Supporter Care team is here to guide you with care. We can answer your questions, walk you through each step, and make sure you feel supported throughout the process.
By moving from cheques to one of these gentle alternatives, you can continue your support, be there for the animals who need us most, and be ready for the transition before the deadline.
Thank you for being such an important part of our community. Your kindness and generosity are truly extraordinary, and we are so grateful to have you with us.
