During the year, our team from The Lost Dogs’ Home work with the broader community to promote better pet ownership by empowering the people who care for their companion animals through education and access to affordable pet care services. For the remainder of 2020, our main focus will be continuing to partner with local Councils to deliver our very popular mobile Microchipping and Desexing Initiative (MADI) events.
Join us for the third event in the Dogs in the Park series, to be staged on Sunday, 24 February at Fawkner Park* in South Yarra.
Come along to either 1pm or 2:30pm session and learn how to enhance your dog’s experience at an off-lead dog park. The Lost Dogs’ Home behaviour team will take both you and your dog through a one-hour interactive session, where you will learn more on:
– Understanding your dog’s body language and behaviour
– Play and enrichment ideas
– Positive reinforcement training
– Recall at the park
The Lost Dogs’ Home behaviour trainers will be on hand to answer your specific questions.
All dogs are welcome. Please ensure they are on-lead and remember to bring some of your dog’s favourite training treats!
This is a free event and bookings are not required.
The Dogs in the Park event series will continue at JJ Holland Reserve (Kensington) and Ron Barassi Snr Park (Docklands) in early 2019.
Dogs in the Park is proudly presented by the City of Melbourne and The Lost Dogs’ Home.
