Hello there, I'm Calvin. I may be deaf, but that won't stop me!
I'm a very special boy looking for an equally special person/family to help me get back on my feet. If you have had experience with a deaf dog that would be awesome, but otherwise our trainers can give you all the tips and tricks!
I will need to be in a home made up of adults, with no children visiting as I am very under-confident at the moment.
I do not wish to be around any small animals or cats, however I may enjoy living with another friendly dog if the right one comes down to meet me.
I am going to need some positive reinforcement training, and ideally would love to come back for a consult to make sure I am gaining my confidence. So far I have learnt Sit, Drop, go to bed. Sign language can be hard, but instead of saying good boy, give me the thumbs up!
At the beginning, everything will need to be taken slow with me. That includes meeting people, going places, and seeing other dogs. I want to feel safe in my new home, and get to know the people who saved me first, before I get comfortable with the big wide world.
I hope to see you soon!
