Say hello to handsome Raphael!!
This sweet boy is looking for a home where he can be the only dog in the household. He would love his new owners to be secondary school aged or older and to take him for a long walk each day. Raphael will also need a yard with secure fencing.
As with all of our dogs, Raphael will need to be welcomed inside to sleep and to feel comfortable when his owners are out of the home. Working on some independence training with him and giving him toys to play with will also help.
At the moment Raphael is very under-confident meeting dogs and gets a little bit overwhelmed. His new owners will need to slowly build up his confidence by exposing him to positive interactions with other dogs. At the time of adoption Raphael's new owners will have the opportunity to speak to a member of our Behaviour Department for more information on this.
Raphael will also need his new owners to work on building up his confidence with handling. You can do this by using treats as positive reinforcement and rewarding him for interacting with you.
Raphael is a large sized boy.
As all of our dogs do, Raphael needs to be a part of the family and be welcomed inside the house to spend quality time with the family.
All members of the household MUST attend the meet and greet.
We cannot facilitate adoptions/holds via phone or email.
This website is updated in real time at the conclusion of an adoption.
