Adopted & Adored Ambassadors

Adopted & Adored Ambassadors

Adore your newly adopted pet and want to shout it from the rooftops? Our Adopted & Adored Ambassador program is a fun and rewarding way to get involved with The Lost Dogs’ Home and the community after adopting a dog or puppy.

Throughout the year we call on our adopted and adored ambassadors to attend events around Melbourne – showing how shelter animals make great pets.

Most volunteer shifts are one to three hours and commonly occur on weekends. Adopted and adored ambassadors spend time mixing with the general public and donors at events and functions. They might also be asked to assist with presentations to students and community groups.

Glen & Stutz

Adopted & Adored Ambassador profile

Glen Klaassen and his Rottweiler cross Stutz are a true example of how pets enrich our lives.
Adopted & Adored Ambassadors since 2014 Glen and Stutz enjoy showing the people of Melbourne how close their bond is.

“I wanted to give back to the Home for all the work they do and, for me, the Adopted & Adored Ambassador program is a great way to do that.

“People are always surprised when I tell them that Stutz is from The Lost Dogs’ Home; it is great to hear their positive feedback about him and show them how shelter animals make great pets,” said Glen.
