Just weeks ago, we were facing crisis point. With several hundred cats and kittens in care and more arriving every day, our shelters were at capacity. You rallied together to help find homes for these deserving pets, and your response was unlike anything we’d ever seen before.
Due to such an overwhelming response – and with several hundred people currently on our waiting list to adopt a cat or kitten – our Clear the Cat Shelter adoption drive will end today, Monday 8 February 2021.
What if I’ve submitted an application to adopt?
If you’ve submitted an online or email application during the adoption drive (by Monday 8 February), you will be eligible for the special discounted adoption fees when you visit for your adoption appointment, regardless of when this is. Our team is busy scheduling appointments as more pets become available to adopt over the coming weeks.
What if I’ve enquired but haven’t heard back?
If you’re still waiting to hear back from us, please bear with us. Our response time has been delayed due to the extremely high number of enquiries we’ve received. We are catching up on applications and will get to yours as soon as we possibly can.
As a charity organisation with no government funding, our team is doing its best to work through hundreds of enquiries and get our cats and kittens into loving homes as quickly as possible. Now more than ever, we ask for your kindness and patience as we work together to achieve the very best outcome for these deserving pets.
Preparing these pets for adoption and matching them with committed forever homes takes time. Although there may not be many cats and kittens on our website right now, that’s because of the enormous success of this adoption drive, which has seen up to 34 cats and kittens adopted in a single day! More cats and kittens are returning from foster care and being desexed every day. Your perfect match won’t be too far away.
We thank everyone who has adopted, enquired or spread the word and helped achieve an incredible 368 adoptions, with many more yet to come.
