161 homes found for cats and kittens

April 4, 2018
Mike was one of 161 felines who found new homes through our adoption blitz.

Our cat and kitten adoption blitz came to an end this week, with 161 felines finding loving new homes.

Our adoptions centre was a constant hive of activity, with families from across Melbourne visiting to adopt their new companion.

Adoption fees were reduced to $25 for eight days, with the goal of finding forever homes for 163 cats and kittens in need. Our standard adoption process still applied to ensure all cats and kittens were matched with suitable homes.

Though we were two adoptions short of our goal, it was touching to meet so many people willing to make a difference and open their home to a pet in need. The cats who missed out will stay with us for as long as it takes to find a new home.

If you adopted during this drive, we’d love to hear your story!

If you missed out, don’t despair! We now have 18 cats ready for new homes, with many more about to become available for adoption. View available pets here.
