Update: Frankie has been adopted!
Collected from the streets of Frankston and cared for at the Home’s Cranbourne shelter, Maltese/Shih Tzu mix Frankie had a coat so matted it had hobbled his legs, requiring him to be carried everywhere by staff.
Frankie’s overgrown coat hid a severe flea infestation, which caused him much irritation and left him miserable. Frankie was given a full body clip, which rid him of the disgustingly filthy and matted coat.
“Since being clipped, Frankie has become a new dog,” says the Home’s Sue Conroy. “He’s finally free to run and play and is making up for lost time. He’s very confident and will need ongoing training and lots of exercise. Frankie’s new owner will need to commit time to training, grooming and have some previous experience in owning dogs. There will never be a dull moment with Frankie around!”
Two year old Frankie is available to adopt from our North Melbourne shelter, and is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health checked. Please call (03) 9329 2755 and quote tag number 843952 if you would like to adopt him.
