Stray Snoopy was attacked by a large dog whilst he wandered alone in a park. Having escaped with a severe wound to his hind leg, Snoopy was brought to The Lost Dogs’ Home where he has been receiving veterinary care and TLC.
“The attack on Snoopy resulted in extensive muscle damage. We cleaned the wound and placed drains in it before stitching him up. He’s been a little trooper and loves getting outside in the sun to break up the day,” said Dr Brian Oon, who operated on Snoopy.
Snoopy’s microchip meant staff were able to locate his owner, however that person claimed they had given Snoopy away but couldn’t provide any details on the new owner. Now recovered, six year old Maltese mix Snoopy is looking for a new home.
“Snoopy will be a fantastic addition to the family. He’s been through the wars and deserves only the best going forward. He’s a very sweet-natured little dog – a lover, not a fighter!” said General Manager Sue Conroy.
Snoopy is available to adopt from The Lost Dogs’ Home at North Melbourne, and is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health checked. Please call (03) 9329 2755 and quote tag number 854019 if you would like to adopt him.
