Vaccinations

It is important to maintain your pet's vaccination program. In dogs, vaccinations are required for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Canine Cough and cats must be immunised against Feline Enteritis, Cat Flu and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).

Microchipping

Microchipping newly registered dogs and cats is now compulsory in Victoria. The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic performs microchipping for $40 seven days per week. You can bring your pet into the Clinic to be microchipped or attend one of our microchipping events held at various locations throughout Australia. All animals microchipped through The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic are registered through the National Pet Register. The National Pet Register is Australia's largest pet identification service that operates a Pet Recovery Centre 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic also microchips other pets such as guinea pigs or rabbits. It is recommended you have all of your pets microchipped, even horses. It is the best way to ensure a happy reunion if your pet is ever lost.

The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic Team performs a wide range of orthopaedic and soft tissue operations. The Team operates on thousands of shelter animals and privately owned pets every year, making them a highly experienced group of surgeons and veterinary nurses.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a specialised treatment offered by The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic. It can be effective in a wide variety of cases, but is especially used to treat musculoskeletal problems like hip dysplasia and arthritis.

Dentistry

The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic offers the latest in pet dentistry including ultrasonic scaling and high speed polishing. Just like humans, dogs and cats need their teeth checked on an annual basis to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

Hydrobathing

Bathing your dog can be difficult and messy, especially when your furry friend is unwilling! The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic can take care of your pet's cleanliness with its hydrobathing service. We offer 30 minute hyrdobathing including:

Senior Animal Health Check

Do you have an older dog or cat? Pets aged seven years and over should be regularly checked for disease and health problems which commonly affect our older beloveds. Senior dogs are prone to liver, heart and joint disease and senior cats often suffer from thyroid and kidney disease. If checked regularly, most of these health issues can be prevented.

Total Parasite Check Up

Most generic worm tablets do not kill all types of parasite. Heartworm is a fatal disease which can be prevented with a monthly or yearly treatment. Intestinal worms are a major concern in pets because of the potential to transfer to children. All types of parasite can be fatal if untreated or treated with the wrong medication.
