Optimum Diet Program
Is your pet overweight or underweight? It is estimated that one in two dogs in Australia are overweight and although less prevalent in cats, obesity can still affect our feline friends if they are not fed the right diet. The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic runs an Optimum Weight Program which will help your pet achieve the ideal weight. Overweight dogs and cats can suffer from heart, kidney, renal, and joint problems as well as diabetes. Underweight animals may have an undetected disease which is causing their weight loss. The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic Optimum Weight Program up includes:
- General health check
- A weight assessment
- A prescribed diet written for your pet
- Ongoing consultations with a weight loss vet nurse
The program costs just $45 for the initial consultation, assessment, prescribed diet plan and ongoing consultations with a vet nurse. Prescribed food is at the client's cost.

Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) Prevention Program
FIV, or feline aids, is a potentially fatal viral disease that interferes with the immune system of a cat. The virus lives in the blood of the infected cat and is carried throughout its life. FIV is spread from cat to cat primarily through bite wounds as the virus is shed in high levels through saliva.
Between 14% and 29% of cats in Australia test positive to the disease. The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic is committed to reducing the occurrence of FIV and offers prevention program including:
- General health check
- Blood test
- 3 x FIV vaccines (initial course)
The total value of this check up is over $280. Click here to download a voucher to receive the check-up for just $160. Save over $120!
