Veterinary Clinic Manager
Dr Larry Colson BVSc
After graduating from the University of Melbourne, Larry worked in a small animal practice before heading to Hong Kong to work as a veterinary surgeon for the RSPCA. Midway through his veterinary career, Larry took a detour into the IT industry, but still maintained his skills and interest in veterinary medicine. Larry returned to full veterinary practice at The Lost Dogs' Home and has the responsibility of managing the busy Clinic. Larry lives with his two dogs Henry the boxer and Schnapps the schnauzer.
Senior Veterinary Staff
Dr Alan Bolton BVetMed, MRCVS
Alan qualified from The Royal Veterinary College University in London England in 1993. Alan worked the in the UK in private and welfare practices before heading to Australia in 1995 where he commenced as a senior surgeon at The Lost Dogs' Home. Alan has a special interest in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Alan has two terrier crosses, one of which has had intensive orthopedic surgery.
Dr Bryan Oon BVSc (Hons), MRCVS
Bryan qualified at the University of Melbourne in 2002. For 3 years, he worked with small animals at a multi-branch practice in Singapore, his country of birth. Shortly after, the shores of England beckoned, and he joined a small animal veterinary practice in one of England's southern counties. Bryan has settled in Australia and joined The Lost Dog's Home Veterinary Clinic in 2008. He has an interest in complementary therapies and ultrasonography and hopes to further his study in one of those fields. Bryan also has a soft spot for cats and finds shelter work

Dr Caroline Cook BVSc (Hons)
Caroline graduated from the University of Melbourne with honours in 2003. After graduating, Caroline went to work in a mixed practice in Wangaratta before heading to India to work with street dogs in 2005. She has since worked in a boutique practice in Northcote, and done locum work for Lort Smith Animal Hospital and the RSPCA. Caroline's special interest is small animal medicine and dermatology. Caroline adopted a Lost Dogs Home critter in 2008. He is a little rat-like terrier called Roo. Roo loves running to work beside Caroline on her bike.
Dr Caroline Butler BVSc
Caroline graduated from Queensland University and has worked at The Lost Dogs' Home since Easter 1999. Caroline's special interests are radiology and acupuncture, another specialised service offered by The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic. Caroline lives with her six-year-old labrador cross who arrived at the Dogs' Home as a four-week-old abandoned puppy. Caroline works part-time as she also has a young family.
Dr Carolyn Lau BVSc
Carolyn graduated with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2002. She worked in a ‘small animal' private practice before joining The Lost Dogs' Home Veterinary Clinic in 2006. Her special interest is internal medicine. She has undertaken further studies in internal medicine with Sydney University Post Graduation Foundation. Carolyn lives with Jason and Scooby the fat cat!
Dr Natalie Fleischmann BVSc (Hons)
Following the completion of a Bachelor of Science with a major in genetics, Natalie went on to study Veterinary Science graduating from the University of Melbourne with honours. After spending some time working at the Canine Blood Bank, Natalie joined The Lost Dog's Home Veterinary Clinic in 2009. She has two cats in her life – Pepper a lovely shy grey domestic short hair and Tashi a lively ginger domestic medium hair.
Dr Joanna Chan (BVSc)
Joanna graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 before commencing work at the Lost Dogs Home. She is originally from Singapore where she misses her terrier-cross pooch, YaiYai. She has a special interest in surgery and finds homeopathic medical management for animals extremely interesting.
Dr Leonie Poulter BVSc (Hons)
Leonie graduated from the University of Melbourne with honours. She started work at The Lost Dogs' Home over twenty years ago, previously having worked at several practices in the local area. In 1990 she was appointed Clinic Manager, a position she held for several years until she began to start a family. Since then she has continued to be involved with the clinic as a part- time veterinarian between family commitments and living for short periods in the US and UK. She has two spoilt dogs, Flossee, adopted from The Lost Dogs' Home ten years ago, and Lily, an energetic Border Collie.

Cathy Edwards
Cathy is a qualified Emergency and Critical Care Nurse and has worked in the veterinary industry for many years. She has a keen interest in animal care and welfare.
