Milo’s looking for a new home

Terrier mix Milo was found wandering on a busy road in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Collected by the Home’s Animal Ambulance, Milo was brought to the safety of the Home.

Scanned for a microchip on his arrival, staff were thrilled to discover he was chipped and set about contacting his owner.

Instead of reacting positively to the good news that her dog was safe and well, Milo’s owner said that, as he’d been missing for two months and her children had stopped asking about him, she didn’t want to take him back.

Sadly it’s not unusual for us to deal with owners whose pets are identified, but who don’t wish to claim them. Milo’s a very sweet, happy dog with a lovely personality. He’ll be an asset to any dog-loving family.” said General Manager Sue Conroy.

Three-year-old Milo is now looking for a new home, where he will receive love, care and attention for the rest of his life.

He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and heartworm tested. Like all dogs and puppies adopted from our North Melbourne shelter, Milo also receives a free post-adoption training session with Planet K9.
