It’s that time again. Time to be riffling through the address books, composing succinct summaries of your family’s past 300-and-however-many days, and sending to all corners of the nation and the globe festive wishes to those we care about.

Barbara Datson has been generously donating to The Lost Dogs’ Home for over three years. She is part of a group of regular donors who give a donation every month. She is also the President of ‘The Angels’ – a fundraising group connected to the St Kilda Football Club that primarily raises money to purchase memberships for disabled people. But that’s not all they do! Where there is a community need, The Angels are there to help. They recently answered our call for blanket and coat donations to help us keep our dogs and cats warm throughout winter.

About 20% of the 20,000 dogs and cats that arrive at The Lost Dogs’ Home do not have any form of identification. In most cases, one small microchip is all that is needed to reunite lost and distressed pets with their owners.

At this year’s Gold Coast Pet & Animal Expo, to be held on the 27th and 28th of June at Varsity Lakes, pet owners can microchip their furry friend and help prevent the heartache of a lost pet for only $20. Bookings are essential on 1300 734 738.
