Give A Dog A Home

Give A Dog A Home is a television, radio and internet initiative to
give abandoned animals a loving home. The Lost Dogs' Home would like to
thank Mike Larkan and many other supporters for their involvement in this
program.

These animals have already undergone an assessment by The Lost Dogs’ Home veterinary staff on their:

  • health
  • age
  • behaviour and temperament.

These animals are suitable to be rehomed into a family
environment which may have other pets. Please contact The Lost Dogs' Home on (03) 9329 2755 for any special needs for the specific animal
you are interested in.

How can I adopt a pet?

You must be the first caller to The Lost Dogs' Home on (03) 9329 2755 at 9:00am on the Saturday morning
following the animal adoption feature segment on Channel Ten's Weather
Report with Mike Larkan. The Lost Dogs' Home will place the dog on hold
for the first suitable caller. Don't forget, if you miss out on the
animal you are calling about there may be other equally suitable dogs
(or cats) available for adoption.

When can I collect the pet?

The animals
advertised on the Give A Dog A Home website and weather segment on
Friday evenings are available to collect on the next day (i.e. Saturday
between 9:00am - 12:00pm). Other animals in our adoption pens are also
available for sale on the Saturday.

Adoption cost

  • Pups: $290 (6 months of age and under)
  • Adults: $275 (over 6 months of age)

Prices include desexing, worming, first vaccination, microchip and heartworm test.
