Gifts in memory

Gifts in Memory of People

Rather than the traditional gift of flowers, some families choose to support a favourite charity in memory of the deceased. Many people also make this request in their Will.

Making a donation to The Lost Dogs' Home in memory of a beloved friend or family member, gives mourners the opportunity to do something positive for cats and dogs in need and to support a cause dear to the deceased's heart.

The Home has ‘In Memoriam’ gift envelopes available, which can be distributed at the Memorial Service. For more information or to organise a delivery of envelopes, please contact our Fundraising Department on (03) 9329 2755.

Gifts in Memory of Pets

Our pets play an important role in our lives. They offer companionship, unconditional love and help ease stress and other ailments. When a beloved pet dies, the space they leave behind can often take years to overcome.

Owners can choose to make a gift to the Home in memory of their cherished pet or to acknowledge the passing of a close friend or family member's pet. Donating to lost and abandoned dogs and cats in need is a meaningful way to commemorate your beloved pets life.

Remembrance Plaques

Placed on walls around the Home, Remembrance Plaques provide a perpetual reminder of beloved people and animals. We plan to build a Memorial Garden in the future so these plaques can be grouped together, in a distinct place for remembering special friends, family members and pets.

Plaques are engraved with your own words and are available in either bronze ($500) or anodised aluminium ($160).

For more information about Remembrance Plaques, please call our Fundraising Department on (03) 9329 2755.
