Having a well-behaved and friendly dog isn’t just about picking the right one. Sure, there is a tiny bit of luck involved, but anyone can have the dog of their dreams if they are willing to devote time and patience to training – and the reward far outweighs the effort. Having a well-trained dog is part of being a responsible pet owner, and your dog will be happier, healthier and live a fuller life.

At Planet K9 dog training facility based at The Lost Dogs’ Home, Nicole Beasley and her team make training fun. Using reward based training she can show you how to teach your dog everything from basic commands (sit, stay, drop etc) to amazing feats of agility.

Nicole has trained dogs for stage shows, international events such as the Australian Open and Moomba, as well as for popular television shows like Harry’s Practice. She has a Bachelor Degrees in Science and Applied Science majoring in Animal Behaviour and Nutrition, and was a lecturer in animal training at Victoria University.

Her pride and joy is her Silky Terrier, Comet, who is from The Lost Dogs’ Home.
