Gypsy Has Been Adopted!

Last week, Gypsy came to us as an unrecognisable, neglected and depressed dog. The four-year-old Spoodle's coat had been left to grow out of control and was severely matted, flea ridden and dirty.

It took two groomers at the Home six hours to clip Gypsy, but look at her now!

The Lost Dogs' Home is pleased to report that gentle Gypsy was adopted yesterday by Barbara and will spend the rest of her days receiving love and attention from Barbara and her other pets.

"My Labrador Wally was very excited that he had a new friend. They will get on very well, aside from the odd bit of jealousy from Wally. I made up a bed for Gypsy and Wally decided he would have it, and he wouldn't share his toys. He also hoovered down his own breakfast and then tucked into Gypsy's," said new owner Barbara.

"When Gypsy arrived home, she inspected the yard, discovered the doggie door and then the cats. The cats were less than impressed with her, but I'm sure they'll learn to co-exist. The cats have a separate area in the frontyard, and the dogs the backyard".

"I'm going to buy Gypsy some new toys and a new collar so she feels right at home".

Gyspy is still recovering from the neglect she suffered at her previous home. The skin around her paws is very tender and irritated, but we are confident she will receive excellent care from Barbara, in addition to treatment from the Home's veterinary team.

"Our commitment is to place Gypsy and dogs like her onto loving, informed homes where pet's needs are met for the entirety of their lives," said Sue Conroy, General Manager of the Home.
