Today Buckley had the stitches from his ears, tail and desexing surgeries removed at The Lost Dogs’ Home. He is well on the road to recovery.
Today Buckley was back in The Lost Dogs’ Home vet hospital, this time to have the stitches from his earlier surgeries removed.
Dr Alan Bolton attended to Buckley and is very happy with the healing process. "Buckley’s ears and tail stump have mended well so he won’t require any more surgery. We’ll keep him on some antibiotics and pain medication to make 100% sure, but so far, so good."
Foster carer Jodie was on-hand to provide Buckley with moral support. "We are making sure every time Buckley has a scheduled vet visit that we give him lots of treats, pats and cuddles, so he only associates good things with a check up. He’s familiar with staff here so there haven’t been any issues and he’ll certainly appreciate having the Elizabethan collar removed!"
Dr Bolton gave Buckley the all-clear and Buckley returned home with Jodie this afternoon. "The worst is behind him and he has handled everything extremely well; only good times ahead for this little one!" commented Jodie.
Buckley will now spend the next few weeks with Jodie and ‘uncle’ Sparky, until he is completely ready to be rehomed. For more information on his rehoming process, please keep updated via dogshome.com.
